Pricing & Getting Started with StartLogic
StartLogic advertise a price of $5.95/mo for their main plan – ProLogic. However, as some other companies you can get this price only if you sign up for the longest term they offer – 2 years. If you want to pay for your account monthly the price goes up and you have to pay an additional setup fee of $30.00 which makes the account much more expensive.

After you select your billing plan and proceed with the purchase, you have to get through FOUR different advertising pages that try to sell you a variety of extras. We found this really annoying.
Technical Support
StartLogic provide technical support over phone and a help desk system. We have made our standard test – changed the password of a WordPress installation causing it to crash. Then we posted an inquiry on the support page.
The first response we received was 1 hour and 13 minutes later. The response itself was a templated message that informed us we will wait up to 48 hours for someone to take a look at this problem.

Three hours later we received an update from a “specialist” suggesting that we should reinstall WordPress:
Hello,
I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. While access the URL it shows blank page. I could not find any errors on php error logs. It is difficult investigate the issue without the errors. It appears that issue with the WordPress files. I suggest that you please reinstall the WordPress application.
If you have any further questions, please update the Support Console.

After this reply we have decided that there is no reason to keep asking for support because we obviously weren’t going to get any.
Conclusion
In conclusion, StartLogic offer web hosting at fairly normal prices if you go for a long-term contract with them. Their technical support, however, is unsatisfactory, to say the least. This is one of the main reasons StartLogic is ranked 6th in our website. We would recommend this hosting provider only for small websites that wouldn’t require much attention or technical knowledge to maintain.

I have been a customer for years I went with them because they (had) the best support not any more they are terrible can not understand you and you can not understand them! Can’t get anyone in the US to respond. Spent 3 hours on the phone begging and pleading to speak with a supervisor – we left on hold twice until I finally hung up. Instructions that they e-mailed came up with an error – this is a nightmare!!!!! They owe me money!!!!! Good luck with them I will be moving!!!

I like their support – I always had to deal with very nice people. The Live tech support is fantastic – accessible via phone – exactly what I need now.
